The course is offered to both medical and nursing practitioners and the program and is structured as follows:

 

Day One

This is attended by both medical and nursing participants and is comprised of a series of didactic lectures. Topics covered include

-Introduction to TMS with  video

-Treatment of Major Depressive Disorder: Evidence base for what works

-Patient Selection

-Maintenance and Repeat Treatment

-Treatment of Other Disorders

-Practical Issues in TMS Use/TMS Equipment and Regulation

-Management of Side Effects/TMS Safety Considerations

-RMT Determination/ Demonstration

Day Two

The program begins with a TMS Treatment Demonstration/Discussion attended by both medical and nursing registrants. The program is then split as follows:

Medical: RMT training is followed by a Q and A with Professor Fitzgerald and finishes with RMT Assessment

Nursing: Conducting TMS treatments training is followed by a Q and A with a highly experienced, qualified TMS nurse and finishes with an assessment.
